Watercolor Polar Bear Craft

This Watercolor Polar Bear Craft is a fun little craft that is perfect for little ones and older kids!

In this craft we use watercolors to create a beautiful, blended watercolor background. Doesn’t it remind you of the Northern Lights? Watercolors are so fun to work with. Make sure to use different colors of the watercolors, like violets, purples, blues and aquas and keep them wet so the colors blend well! This little craft can be used as a homemade card too!

instructions:

  • Start by folding a piece of watercolor paper in half the short way and then cut in half.

  • Now, unfold the watercolor paper and paint the top part of the paper with watercolors (above the fold). Use blues, light blues, pinks, purples, violets, colors of the northern lights! Let the colors be very light and wet so they blend together. Let dry.

  • Next, using the scissors, cut a polar bear outline along the bottom of the unpainted watercolor paper. Fold over the dried watercolors and glue together. Add the eyes and mouth using the black permanent marker. You can make this into a card, by NOT gluing the polar bear but leaving it open. Write a message inside!
