Materials for Torn Paper Snowflake:

  • White cardstock
  • Light blue cardstock
  • Permanent marker or pencil
  • Glue stick

Instructions:

  • Tear the light blue cardstock into about .5″- 1″ pieces and place in a bowl (my little wooden bowl is from Hobby Lobby).
  • Next, using the permanent marker or pencil, draw a large, simple snowflake on the white cardstock.
  • Prepare the glue stick and light blue torn pieces for the child to glue.

What is my child learning and improving?

  • Hand-eye coordination (gluing the small pieces of cardstock along the snowflake lines)
  • Fine motor skills (picking up the pieces of cardstock, gluing)
  • Independence (great activity for some quite, down time where the child can easily work on his/her own as there are no hard directions to follow)

This is an awesome craft to use up those old pieces of scrap paper. Even purple, lilac and pinks will look beautiful!

Please make it easier to locate the download for activities. It’s really hard to understand what is an advertisement and what isn’t.

Hi Lorri! What download are you referring to? Specifically, Torn Paper Snowflake does not have a printable, you simply use a marker to draw a simple snowflake.
