This Dot Sticker Alphabet Match using a Paper Roll is one of those activities that’s super quick to prep, doesn’t require a long list of materials and best of all, will keep toddlers busy and happy!
I made this alphabet match for my kiddo one day when I needed him to stay a bit independent for some time while I got a few things done around the house. I always save paper rolls for crafts and activities like these, so I had one laying around. In under 3 minutes, I quickly wrote the alphabet letters on both the paper roll and dot stickers and gave it to my son. It totally did the job! He was excited to match up the letters and I was able to do my own thing 🙂

Who would even call those instructions? Haha! So easy 🙂
What is my child learning and improving?
- Letters (recognizing and memorizing letters, visually matching them up)
- Cognitive skills (analyzing the letters, comparing, matching)
- Fine motor skills (holding the paper roll, peeling away the dot stickers and sticking them onto the paper roll)
- Hand-eye coordination (placing the dot sticker over the correct letters)
- Independency (this activity is great at keeping the little ones busy and giving you some time for other things)
TIP- I like to work together with my toddler when learning the letters, numbers, new subjects, etc. So I stay with him and with this activity it’s a wonderful time to SING THE ALPHABET TOGETHER, talk about how letters appear, what they look like, what sounds they make, what words start with each letter and so on. Simple to prep activities like this can still be a ton of fun!
