This Raccoon Rock Craft is a fun painting idea we did as part of a “bookish craft”. You’ll enjoy this with your kids for sure! I may have made up the term “bookish craft”, but you get the idea. It’s quite exciting combining a book with a craft!
My kids got “The Kissing Hand” book (in Russian) for their birthdays recently and we’ve been enjoying it so much. It was perfect timing for such a gift because this is the first year that I sent my daughter off to kindergarten. And although she’s only doing half day kindergarten, this story about a little raccoon going off to school is very relatable. It’s the sweetest story and I don’t want to spoil it for you, but basically I couldn’t read it without tearing up. In fact, I had to literally stop and tell me self to “get it together mama” before continuing to read.
These Raccoon Rocks were inspired by the adorable little raccoons in the book and make a nice little visual to play with as we read the story over and over together!
