This Secret Easter Egg Art craft is such a blast! I’ve created a few “secret art” crafts in the past, like the Secret Autumn Art and Secret Christmas Art and my kids have always loved them. So I thought this time of year it would be perfect to make an Easter egg secret art!
It’s so fun prepping these types of crafts (at least I find them fun ha-ha) and it’s super simple. You’ll need some basic craft supplies which, in fact, you may have right at home already. It took me approximately 5-8 minutes to make and it’s worth every second!

Materials for secret easter egg art craft :
-Brown (or any cardstock to make a simple template with)
-Paintbrush
-White crayon
Instructions:
First, begin by making the template for the egg. Fold the brown (or any color) cardstock in half length wise and cut a half egg shape with the craft scissors. Unfold and you’ll have a nice, symmetrical egg 🙂 Now place the template over the white cardstock and trace with permanent marker. Next, with the white crayon draw designs and patterns right over the egg. You’re done and your egg is ready to be painted by your little artists!
What is my child learning?
-Fine motor skills (holding the paintbrush)
-Hand-eye coordination (painting inside the egg and being careful of going out of lines)
-Creativity and imagination
-Colors (this is a great activity to talk about the colors they’re using to paint with, pronouncing and memorizing them)
-Cognitive skills (predicting and analyzing the patterns they are revealing)
THIS IS A SUPER SIMPLE AND EXCITING ACTIVITY FOR TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOLERS! WILL YOU MAKE THIS CRAFT TOGETHER?
