This Egg Carton Pom-pom Color Sort is not only simple and takes just a few minutes to prepare, but it’s a great RECYCLED idea too. I mean, probably most of us come across an empty egg carton at home so why not make something out of it before it goes into the trash?
My kids love sorting activities and games! Oh and I’m glad they do because typically sorting activities aren’t hard to make! Usually you’ll need just a few basic materials and you can make a super fun, learning activity in no time.
My toddler loved this fun little sorting activity! I loved to see him use his tiny fingers to pick up the small pom-poms and figure out which hole to poke them through!

Materials:
- Small pom-poms
- 18 egg carton
- Crayons

Instructions:
Flip the egg carton upside down and color the tops of the egg carton in various colors (my pom-poms were white, yellow, pink and light blue). Once you’ve finished coloring, use the screw driver to carefully poke a hole in each section. You can use a pen or pencil for this step too. Now you’re done and your toddlers are ready to sort!
