There’s nothing like an activity with pom-poms! I don’t know about your kids, but MINE LOVE POM-POMS! They’re so versatile, colorful and fun. Of course dumping them and scattering them all over the place has to be the number one priority. But seriously, this Pom-pom Garland Match is super fun, engaging and helps improve sooooooo many (have you heard? Sooooo many) areas of childs’ development. It’s easy to set up, totally inexpensive and toddlers will have a blast matching the colorful pom-pom to their right spot.

Materials:
–Colored pencils (or crayons)
–Glue
Instructions:
Draw a garland line on the white cardstock. Then draw colored circles (according to the size and color of your pom-poms). Done! The child has to match pom-poms to the color on the garland and glue it right on top!

-Colors
-Cognitive skills (evaluating, thinking, matching, picking and choosing)
-Develops new brain connections (a matching game such as this stimulates the brain thus creating new connections)
-Hand-eye coordination (glueing on the pom-pom right over its spot)
-Fine motor skills (picking up the pom-poms with pointer finger and thumb)
Wow that’s a lot of learning for a simple and easy activity as this!
