Finally I’ve got a Sensory Bin idea for you! It’s been a while! But with so many fun Christmas and Winter ideas on my “to post” list, it’s so hard to find a day to post such a simple and awesome activity…but here it is! Your kids will love this Holiday Sensory Bin! BUT, it’s not only a themed sensory bin. I’ve focused on CIRCLES, which makes it so fun for young children to learn shapes, different textures, sizes, weights, colors and so on.

Materials:
Add-ins:
–Small shatter-proof ornaments
-Gold foam balls for crafts
Instructions:
Dump all of your add-ins into your flat bin.
My 2 year old played solely with the Christmas tree beads at first, who would have guessed! But I was trying to see how creative he would get (as usual, to give them space for their own imagination) annndd…. he took off the top part of the ornaments and started poking the small gold balls right into the ornament! I was “wowed”!

What is my child learning?
-Imagination and creative of course! (You’ll see how their little brains come up with something creative)
-Small/fine motor skills (grabbing the small add-ins with pointer finger and thumb)
-Focus and concentration (like all sensory bins, they keep them BUSY FOR A LONG TIME!)
-Circle shape (as well as textures, colors, sizes, weights)
