This Exploring the Outdoors Scavenger Hunt is a super fun idea for kids to do outdoors! I created this easy activity for my kids so they could not only spend time outdoors but so they can get to know and explore the beautiful nature that is around them. It’s also a wonderful activity because it helps develop, improve and support gross and small motor skills, all so important!
My kids (4 and 2) definitely enjoyed it! They were my little scavenger hunters for sure running around, searching and getting excited as they would find their little treasures. I loved watching them 🙂 !

Materials for Exploring the Outdoors Scavenger Hunt:
-Egg carton
–“Exploring the Outdoors” Free Printable <- Click to print!
Instructions:
Print the free printable, cut out along the grey lines and tape to your egg carton. Choose 6 different items to place in the carton (I chose a pine cone, rocks, mulch, fall leaves, sticks and grass. Having the items they need to look for right in front of them gives them a perfect visual, which also helps if they are toddlers). Rules of the activity are simple: kids have to find those same items you have chosen and place in the spot right in front of the example.
