Do you have any cardboard or cardboard boxes laying around that you’re about to throw away? Don’t just yet! I found a good use for a piece of cardboard I had laying around, this Colored Road Map on Cardboard!
Currently Viktor, who’s going to be 2 real soon, is in the process of learning shapes and colors. And I thought it would be super fun to create something educational for him using the cardboard I had. And because cars are his favorite toys at the moment, I thought a couple colored roads would be a great idea.

Materials for colored road map on cardboard:
Instructions:
Draw two houses using two different colored markers. Afterwards draw a road leading to each house with the appropriate matching marker color. Super easy, super fun! I also drew a few trees, some grass and mushrooms (yep, this is me thinking outside the box actually, but get as creative or simple as you’d like).
My son had so much fun playing with his cars and this road map!
What is my child learning?
-Colors (talk to your kids about the different colors on the road map to help them familiarize and memorize colors)
-Hand-eye coordination (driving the cars along the lines of the roads)
-Creativity
-Independent play
